Because they can instantly recharge if they're wireless, otherwise they're always wired and afraid of losing CTRL, have to constantly ESC and no body ever gives them a Break (or pause). Everyone is always pressing their buttons and their default position is to be constantly keyed up (except when they're down). Clack, clack, clack! all day long, always singing their sad keyboard song.

Keyboards don't sleep because they have Caps-Lock it's a shift without an end.
