I see all IT engineers running scared like "they're going to fire/replace all of us". This is the kind of mentality the company wants.
Next time you wanna be an ass to your colleague remember that. Neither of you might reach retirement age. Both of you will be replaced. None of you stands to gain anything from winning the argument
