Mizz14175857yOH FUCK!
I NEED HELP ASAP!
This is what happened,
I upgraded my Ram to 32 GBs from 16
Then I ensured that everything was plugged in Properly, when it was I closed my PC case.
Plugged everything in and...
Black Screen...
Shutdown pc, plugged everything out hit the on/Off Button several times, plugged everything in and... Black Screen...
Monitor is fine...
But the PC not, it Boots but Black Screen and Keyboard and mice are not responding at all...
Can ANYONE OUT THERE HELP ME! IM REALLY FUCKING SCARED RIGHT NOW THAT I NEED A NEW PC! HALP! -
@Mizz141 when you boot nothing at all happens? Just black screen? I mean do you see your bios startup?
It happened with me once where I just took everything out of the motherboard for cleaning and then windows stopped booting I only saw the startup screen of the bios but nothing else, had to format to get it back working. Maybe this is your case too? -
@duckduckgo whats that in his screenshot I can only assume its GPU? and why the tape is important? Isn't it just covering sensitive parts and can be replaced?
-
Mizz14175857y@gitpush
I hear the HDD and Fans spin up normally... But Else nothing... No BIOS nothing... -
Mizz14175857y@gitpush not the GPU the CPU those are the Fans for it... And the Tape is for the Airflow of the PC
-
@Mizz141 put back your old rams what will happen?
Had a somewhat similar issue on my dad's laptop, gave him my old 2x4GB rams and his laptop doesn't pass the bios screen, put back his old 2x2GB rams and all worked without issues even though the ones I gave him are supported by his motherboard have no clue why it refused to boot, even bios shows 2x4GB -
@Mizz141 good luck, since you said those tapes are for AirFlow, that shouldn't break booting up but will make your computer suddenly turn off IF and ONLY IF the flow was not enough to cool down the CPU and it will end up shutting down to prevent damage

Mizz14175857y@gitpush GUESS WHOS BLACK! MY PC! THANK YOU HERO THANK YOU SO FUCKING MUCH...
(Now try again with the new ram...) -
@Mizz141 Great, now next step: Create a bootable USB of a Linux Distro so that you can mess around with.
What you need to do is check for bios settings, maybe you changed something or they come pre-loaded with non compatible settings?
Try resetting its settings and make sure to at least memorize all its settings for the sake of not losing current configs -
Mizz14175857y@MrGrumpyDev
Hmm... Need to Check that...
Would be funny if its Bad RAM...
Would also suck very much because it costed me around 350 bucks -
Mizz14175857y@Nanos
1.
Its a prebuild PC with custom mother board...
2.
The ram is the exact Same Speed
DDR4 2133
3.
The PC specs say up to 32GB of DDR4
4.
There are only 2 Ram Slots in total...
5.
For more info Look up ASUS G20CB
(The CB is important because there is an oder AJ Version) -
bioDan56227yMake sure your processor and motherboard support the RAM you are trying to install.
Sounds like the "new" RAM sticks are not compatible with your current setup. -
Mizz14175857y@Nanos
I really dont think thats the Problem, as I said its the Same Speed...
And I need to Look up the BIOS, its the newest available Version and really hard to Access because Windows is on A M.2 SSD which makes it pretty much boot instant... -
Mizz14175857y@Nanos
I didn't See any jumpers in the MoBo Like never, I know the Old AJ PC's had them but the newer Series doesn't... -
Mizz14175857y@Condor
Dont Worry, its Just for some Airflow, the Fans are mounted with some screws... -
Mizz14175857y@Nanos
Yes, works 32GB Ram are there, it think the PC needed to have some Old ram so it could manage the new one...
It works so.. YAY! -
Mizz14175857y@StazC
This isn't a Laptop, its a PC with SO-DIMM DDR4 RAM
So... It works with a external monitor
