I am leaving devRant. This community used to be incredibly healthy and I loved every person on it. now it has grown into just pages of all caps screaming and cursing or non-dev related memes that do not belong. Maybe I will return, maybe I won't. All I know is that I am extremely disappointed in this site. Hate me as you will, you know I'm right and I know I am not alone in this opinion.

Downvote the memes and junk, you do end up with less of them showing up, subscribe to a bunch of users and enjoy their frustrations while you laugh at them 😂

Downside to a whole bunch of young devs (students/ jnrs) getting there hands on a great place is the endless junk everywhere from reddit.

Pretty sure they made an algo for the purpose of showing you what you want.

Not trying to be mean or anything but why not try to make things better instead of "running" away? If there are several people that have the same opinion try to work together or am I wrong ?

Do you use any of the functionality that we offer help with this kind of stuff? I’m guessing you don’t. I can see you have “hide reposts” turned off. Why is that?

We’re also introducing the ability to filter rants by type (meaning you can filter out memes) but not sure why you would take advantage of those if you don’t even use hide reposts.

Also, I agree with the others here. Either try to help us make devRant better or just leave. Posts like these offer absolutely nothing to the community and provide 0 feedback to make the community any better.
