@Simone I bought it already and for 15$ the value is quite incredible, especially because you can support a good cause too.

@ribchinski The thing is that python is starting to have a major presence. Data science and machine learning rely heavily on python and r. Plus it is super fun.

@ribchinski Oof. Well you get used to it. I think it makes look neat but everyone has their own opinions.
  • 2
Funny, my goal for 2018 is to touch Python as little as possible
  • 1
@Simone really? U have all of it?

@ribchinski grass is greener on Python side, but I'm still going with Ruby. The purpose is similar, but some of the syntax and way of doing stuff is different.

@SoulSkrix I for myself stopped looking into ebook reviews, people are often way too critical and I have been always able to get atleast something out of them.

Its obvious that one book rarely ever covers everything, so one shouldnt expect that, but getting even some basics and understanding is worth a lot to me, since then I can expand my knowledge with keywords and things I learned from the books more easily.

For all these reasons I would agree though that if somebody pays the full price, that its probably not worth it. (thats why one always should wait for bundles or sales)

But as said too, this bundle is a great start for this little price to dive into all those areas.

@Golank heres another mention I guess

@succ they accept paypal too and bank transfer if that helps?
  • 1
@JoshBent The thing is that I live in Nepal and online payments is not available here. It sucks to be able to see these stuff and not be able to buy them. As a bonus, cyrptocurrencies are illegal too.
  • 3
@succ dang I didn't know cryptocurrencies were illegal in some places
  • 1
@succ well above somebody said he has them all and could probably email it to you?
  • 0
@JoshBent You're being too nice. I'll just look for free tutorials and stuff.
  • 2
@succ if you can get the books for free couldn't they be considered free tutorials 🤔
  • 0
@Golank I feel like I shouldn't take stuff from others that they've paid for.
  • 1
@succ don't be like that, just setup some trashmail and he or I could send it to you.
  • 2
@JoshBent I'd rather you spend it on some charity than this. These books will help but it is still possible for me to learn python freely.

@SoulSkrix Big library? Subscription to Lynda? Those are the dreams every student from 3rd world country dreams of.

All that I have access to are either bare minimum books issued for the sole purpose of memorizing for the subjective exams and some donated books that are decades old.
