A React dev in our company proudly announced a script they built for handling data processing of over 200 lines of code, no separation of concern, and all responsibilities mixed together in a large cocktail of bullshit.

Thank our servers, it's Wednesday!

@initSpasm does it at least make me feel high before killing me like alcohol does?

@AlgoRythm Haha can't go wrong with that if you gonna get diabetes might as well do it with a buzz.

@jestdotty because you and everyone write scripts one way don't mean I vibe with it. Especially when the script is poorly written with the probability to grow beyond 1k lines.

I know who's not going to sit and scratch their head trying to read that shit with no comments.

@jestdotty Poor thing, let me educate you. The framework is React, the script is in JS. The script handles DATA in a specific way.

A decent developer would think well if it's handling data and over 200L of code. Then why not integrate the logic into the architecture and separate concerns respectively. Why a script? Is it being used in other applications? Ans: no, even so at that point, you can make it an npm.

Guess there's not a lot of decent developers out there. Like, your comments case in point.
