"hi, we have some dns records we'd like to change, they're in the attachment. Could you send a message when it's done? Thanks in advance!"

No, fuck off. Fucking cunts.

Sounds like there are more problems with those cunts!

    @SaltStack What exactly? 😅

@linuxxx well, changing some dns record isn't the biggest problem in the world right? They can't be cunts for mailing you with just the request? Or am I wrong?
  • 7
@SaltStack True but if they read their SLA/contract they'll see that we don't do things for clients that they can do themselves/we actually have helpdesk articles for. If they can't figure it out then they're most welcome to ask for help!

@linuxxx that make sense! And changing the records and send an invoice is not an option?
  • 6
@linuxxx So the proper response would be something like this?
    "Hi.

We have a solution, it's in the helpdesk. Could you not send a message when it's done?

    You're welcome in advance."

@Flygger Of course I bring it like that haha!

@SaltStack It is but we're allowed to say nope :)
  • 5
@linuxxx a simple nope is probably better for company, business, and relations, but apart from that it's a clear and (technically) polite response, that doesn't introduce new overhead or workflows, and even reflects the language of the client :)

@Flygger For the record again, I said it in a very nice way. We often want to say fuck off but we've got a reputation to keep ;)

    Exactly @linuxxx and I didn't think you didn't :)

Please make sure you don't have typos and that the rant starts with 499 ++ so I can easily get a free stressball.

@DeveloperACE I hope @dfox understands that I'm just going with the flow of @linuxxx rant and not actually requesting lol

@gitpush yeah I know, I feel like there’s probably a case where this actually happened though

@DeveloperACE hmmm everything is possible XD
