Orionss28728y@aki237 hey it's not about trying, it's about using it at school, to develop everyday. It's when I tried Manjaro that I needed some tools it was a mess to install for example.
Here I'm looking for an everyday distro as a C/C++ dev with stable tools easy to install. Ubuntu-like distros have all the tools I need sooo that's why I asked which DE I should install, not distro :p -
Im using mint with cinnamon, but xface is pretty okay too. Honestly, just grab whatever and install cairo or any similar dock.

Orionss28728y@AndSoWeCode I'm very curious because I see a lot of developers praying Linux Mint then I want to give it a try -
Latest version of kde plasma is very stable and lightweight. And there are videos there that show you how to make it look like elementary/Mac or windows or unity or however you want. It is very customizable. A bit of a pain to set up but once it is all set up it feels very polished and the eye candy isn't bad or resource intensive either.

Now, I have to choose between KDE and XFCE. I've used KDE a little but I didn't get the point of all those widgets but I'm still open-minded. I've used a pure version of XFCE that was shitty-looking but was good at use.
Can you give me your opinion on both Desktop Environment?
