victoria958dNo, that's not what happened traitor. They upvoted against it with their own bot network. Of course such comment comes from you. The biggest traitor in devRant history. And yes, this time i downvote you for the first time for spreading fake news.
-
Spammers making their own bot networks is so pathetic.
Use your dev skills for something useful, scumbags! -
victoria958dCan't downvote under this account. It has no score. That's a problem, new down vote bots are hard to make because they need a reputation. Their upvote bots do not need a reputation and thus easier to make. For me it takes extra steps.
-
I wonder if deleting an acc also undoes its downvotes. Deleting anti-spambots might bump up spambots' score
-
@retoor ok so API returns false when you're down vote banned I guess?
did you find the pattern behind it? -
Is devrant accessible on ipv6? Hurricane electric used to give out a /48 for literally free to anyone who wanted one.
That's enough IP space to create more bots than people on earth. -
yulia1078d@jestdotty correct. Did not find a pattern behind it. It also returns false if your user doesn't have enough score.
-
@yulia it's routable.
We can grab a /48 and create billions of unique source addresses to sign-up and operate from and avoid the need for vpns/proxying. -
retoor5306d@Lensflare you're my first upvoter. For always in my heart. As long as this account lasts.
-
retoor5306d@lungdart my VPS has IP 2a01:7c8:aac3:1fd:5054:ff:fe85:60d4/48. Can i do something with that regarding outgoing?
-
@retoor yup!
So you'll need to have a custom http adapter to bind outgoing requests different ips. You'll need these different ips pre assigned to the outbound interface.
If you don't use a custom adapter, the OS will pick a single IP to use for each request, regardless of how many are assigned.
That /48 has 1,208,925,819,614,629,174,706,176 ip address in it, so you'll have lots of different sources to play with
The spam filter bot lost it's downvote privileges, already.
Well, it was fun while it lasted. Sigh.
