I don't use a mouse when working, but I do when gaming and I think I do that too.
What's the problem with that? -
@shellbug once you notice that, it makes you wonder if its common, since others seem to be glued to their mousepad and reset by moving it, rather than lifting
-
@JoshBent I wouldn't worry too much about that, unless you feel its somewhat less efficient. And if you feel it is, measure it before taking any action to correct it.

c3ypt1c99057y@JoshBent well, if you move your mouse fast for 10 cm you get a higher amount of pixels traveled than if you moved your mouse 10 cm slowly. This might be why you're doing that.
Look up how to turn off mouse acceleration. I've always found it annoying. -
@c3ypt1c I think thats actually something I like using, because of my 3 monitor setup - I just flick from the right one to the very far left one in one move, without accel. I imagine I actually would have to lift off even more?

I got told I lift my mouse a lot and I noticed, I actually do, does anybody else here lift the mouse to reset to the center of the mousepad, to a more neutral position or to just soften the drag from the cable often?
