Good to know...
I was just considering making a new image and trying out 18.
17.3 works so darned well I wasn't in much of a hurry.
The masochist in me will try it anyway but maybe with not as much enthusiasm to ditch the old. -
brav0698yMaybe it's just me guys, but i'm feeling that my 17.3 was faster booting and shuting down. That's my bigger rant. And I have experienced some weird little bugs that never happened to me in 17's.
UI has its sugary improvements. That's nice. -
When I do get around to trying, the biggest improvement I'm looking for is working Intel video drivers.
Biggest problem I have with my daily driver 17.3 is choosing between having multi-monitor support but abysmal graphics performance and horrible battery life in stock drivers or 10+ hour battery life and HD video playback without full speed CPU fans. Broadwell CPU/GPU support is not exactly the best in 14.04 variants.
