OMG you guys weren't kidding. Windows 10 sucks. I finally understand why no one uses it anymore. I heard the Linux brand is very good.

Me trying to figure out how people get so many BSOD. I've never gotten one 🤷

When it rains, it pours. We just ordered 3 new Linux computers.@jhh2450

@jhh2450 Same, neither with 7. What do people do with their pcs?
  • 4
Using Microsoft Office and Outlook Office. Switching to Linux office and Linux Outlook tomorrow - no viruses. @LucaScorpion
  • 2
    Shhhh..me neither, ever in my life...and I work(ed) in IT @jhh2450
  • 3
@intromatt You should be prepared for the fact that libre office does not have nearly as many features as microsoft office. You could try to ms office up with wine though.
  • 0
@jhh2450 you could always enable CrashOnCtrlScroll 🤔

    @jhh2450
    I haven't either.

They probably installed a new driver or something.

I think it's because of the cat so much negative and perverse energy, you should have adopted a pinguin, a cow nor a chameleon ^^

This post is a fuckin' joke. Thinking that I would actually use Libre Office is borderline insulting. I have shit to do.

I need PowerPoint, I need Outlook!! This is a joke post and you guys are driving me to alcoholism with your comments. I run Windows 10 Insider's on FastRing on 6 different machines here....I have not seen a BSOD on any of them, ever...I actually had to Google a screenshot to see what it looks like.....@ThaOneDude

They're just Photoshopped screens my wife crudely made. Fuck...I am happy I have a fresh box of wine to drink right now!!!@Michelle

    Me neither, not one time...ever.@jhh2450

@intromatt I realized that a few hours ago when I actually zoomed in lmao
  • 1
I've been using Windows 10 since the developer preview and I've never seen the bsod...the hell is everyone doing to their machines..?

I like that keyboard on the left edge of the frame. What is it?

My wife's Ducky One with Cherry blues and aftermarket rainbow keycaps.@bahua

Even with obscure drivers..it's still a 1 in 100 chance Windows will actually crash with a BSOD.

If it does it will revert back after a reboot.
    It's quite self healing...this isn't XP anymore.@Lahsen2016

@ThaOneDude It works great though, everyone where I work uses it and it works perfectly fine!

@ThaOneDude I think the best alternative in Linux today is WPS Office, it has so many features as MS Office, as far as I know
  • 0
Or you can stop struggling and pay the $5/month and buy Office365. It's the bargain of earth...especially considering OneDrive and all the awesome apps you get. Why always look for alternatives when the real thing is incredibly inexpensive and works/is compatible with everything (let's also consider how much your time is worth when you have to waste time fiddllllling with Libre and WPS...ugh)@pomodoroDev

    I think it's naptime. @LeFlawk
  • 0
@intromatt first because I took five minutes to setup WPS, in my old install, because today I use only Google Docs and finally because I am not from USA/Canada and $5 when converted to my currency is a money which a simple spreadsheet and text editor that fills my storage with tons of unnecessary GBs isn't worth it.
  • 0
I think that even in Bulgaria, $5/month that saves you so much grief and time is well worth it. Ohhh and Google docs is junk. I'll never understand this open source reasoning "sure I can drive a BMW for a few fucks but I'll take the donkey instead because it's free and I have to prove a non-existent point to some Internet people" reasoning. @pomodoroDev
  • 0
@intromatt but I don't loose time, neither money! Ok if for you Google Docs is junkye but it fit my needs... And if I don't need a BMW to get where I want, simple I am not gonna use it, Keep It Simple Stupid... But that's only the way I go for the world

I have never seen anything like this before, not one thing you wrote makes sense. I have been in IT for 24 years and today can install Windows 10 off a USB drive in about 10-12 minutes on a modern system. You're clearly doing something wrong or using broken hardware. Reinstall 'few dozen times over a period of 2 years' - I am starting to think computers may not be your forte. @Nanos

@intromatt wait what? ordered linux... computers? since when did people ship linux on a computer commercially (not including android)
  • 0
@ParkCity It was satirical/sarcastic, I do believe lol
  • 0
    @intromatt the Libreoffice suite?
  • 2
@intromatt Lol, I actually just set my wallpaper on my Linux distro as a BSOD, just 2 days ago for the sake of irony. It looks so similar!
  • 2
OMG that's awesome. For the sake of irony I am gonna install Gimp and LibreOffice on my Windows 10 laptop...it's gonnaaa be hilarious going back into the mid 1990s.. @noobxgenesis
  • 1
@intromatt Haha, hell yeah! I like it.
  • 0
Wouldn't upgrading from an almost 20 year old OS fix this issue. I'm assuming, and please correct me if I'm wrong, this isn't an issue on Windows 10? @Nanos
  • 0
I never have any of these issues and I use Visual Studio and the SQL management studio daily...both of these apps along with a dozen others run on my PC 24/7...and my computer is old, vintage... I'm trying, really trying to make Windows crash and even though I'm running Insider's Fast (essentially a beta OS).. I cannot make it BSOD.. @Nanos
  • 0
I don't believe in luck. Some people's computers are fucked only because they fuck with them. Period. @Nanos
  • 0
@ParkCity Some dell xps ship with ubuntu
  • 0
Strange on windows rant everybody says windows sucks, switch to linux... On linux rant they start to ask about driver/sw/hw/configurations problems and tell how to fix it... So i guess switch to linux comments didn't help

    P. S.
No one? All the market share desktop os stats must be wrong

@intromatt I just start to think about my next wallpapers on windows 10, do you suggest a kernel panic or a segmentation fault?

Having multiple monitors is really cool and helpful, but it makes it even more depressing when you have a BSOD...
  • 2
Especially 4 of them at once.

My tabled had one at the exact time, too.

@jAsE Why is that? Any tips?
