Unity is really easy to pick up. I would only suggest to go for C# instead of starting with JS/Unityscript.

Or you will end with a mixed project, and that's a mess, believe me.

Go with C# as they said, and go through their intro tutorials and documentation and you are good to go

@shakdwipeea Unreal has a bigger learning curve and uses C++, but has Visual Scripting. Never fully tried to do something with it.
