My biggest personal challenges as a dev are these two:

1. I tend to work too much (by choice), which impacts my personal spare time heavily.

2. I tend to not let loose of a problem until it is solved. This often results in longer work hours or me not taking brakes...

And that leads my boss to think that I'm not giving my 100% 🤐

It's a common trend with devs. I'm the same. Need to work on a better balance between the two. But not letting up on a problem without fixing it is very difficult to do, especially when it affects more than yourself.

If you work in a team, not letting on a problem until you find YOUR perfect solution is being very, very poor at your job.

I used to be like that and I learnt when faced with really complex problems is ways better:

    * Plan ahead, run to code is always BAD
    * Take a step back, put your ego away and consider if your current plan of action is good.
    * Always, always run your ideas/problems with your colleagues

Giving the 100% into your job is always good, but there is also a world out of our computers, do no let a coding problem take you away of that world.
