I envy you guys that can listen music while you work....

Try music without text / singing and if that doesn't work try chillout music or other calm music and turn the volume low.

Lo fi is the only thing I can listen to and work. I'll wind up singing, rapping, or having a mini rave if I listen to anything else

I find listening to video game music is pretty good. It's designed to not be too distracting ,and yet keeps you alert.

My current favourite is the Endless Space 2 soundtrack.

Loooolll xD my Seniors, my boss and me all work in the same room and we all have the same taste in music.So there is always atleast one laptop with a YouTube tab open and a speaker connected!
And sometimes my boss is the craziest. "why is there so silence today?who died?Abhishek (my senior) you got dumped man? Play some fucking music. Oooh mann,look at the young intern(me) playing sweet songs today ^_^!(*then going more cheeky*)

I think this rant is about not being allowed to wear headphones during work. It has nothing to do with not being focused...

Half the time in my case. Being a Linux server engineer AND a user support person, I'm a first liner on the phone as well :). I play music throughout the day but when a call comes in i of course have to stop my music 😥

I can fall asleep to dubstep and psytrance but not songs with vocals. So yeah. There’s that.
