Apple products are fucking trash, I don't give a shit if you have money to waste, but don't fucking brag about how superior your 3000$ excuse of a fucking laptop is the best laptop in the world when you could easily afford a desktop with 2 1080 GTX in SLI for that price.

"but mac has lyk no bugs, its so good"

NO FUCKING SHIT, THE OS IS BUILT WITH THE HARDWARE USED IN MIND. THEY DON'T BUILD 500000 MODELS OF MACBOOKS, THEY JUST HAVE TO MAKE ONE MODEL WORK, AND ALL OTHER LAPTOPS WHO HAVE THE SAME HARDWARE WILL.

This is fucking ridiculous.

That's like designing a site, but only for Firefox because that's the browser you use and you expect everybody to use that browser. Obviously it'll work fine on your machine.

I am so fucking sick of Apple fan boys.
I am fully aware some of you devranters are apple fans, but this has been something I've wanted to say for ages, albeit i'm a little late to the party.

Stop wasting money on overpriced trash.

@TwiN I do not like to fight over spaces or tabs, windows or Linux or Mac OS X, atom or sublime or viscose, java or c# or etc.

I believe in democratic world and every one has the right to choose as per our liking and feasibility. I just don't like to criticize the things which needed a hell of efforts from many people 😉

@rookiemaverick tabs for indent and space for tabulation, any os except Mac, vim, Java is cute.

Heck, runescape was made in Java (lol)

    I'm very opiniated

youre paying a lot to buy a complete desktop os with hardware in mind. no compatibility or issues shit like on windows and linux. i dont like apple for personal reasons, but you cant hate them just because they cost more money. a more extreme analogy could be that when you buy a baby to adopt from china, they cost less than to adopt one from india, so indian orphans are worse. it's their choice and you cant discriminate because of it.

@TwiN respect your opinion. I will like to take my own weapons to the battle field.
  • 3
@calmyourtities I hate them for their shitty hardware too.

Don't misunderstand, I'm pretty sure a big chunk of the price tag on Apple products comes from the massive publicity around it, rather than the actual hardware.

Don’t forget software.. You keep looking at hardware. We’re all developers here so we should know that most software isn’t free. Thus the price. This is a common mistake made by people who dislike Apple products and fanboys.

What I hate the most is how arrogant most of the Mac users I know are.
I'm a mac user, but just because I'm a front end developer and it makes my life easier, since I need to switch between adobe/sketch and development environment frequently.
However, I agree they are overpriced and the marketing focused on status attract a lot of silly people.

The ignorance of the apple fans is enough to really make me angry.
    "iS iT a Mac oR a LapTop???1"

'but mac has no bugs' -- where did THAT come from? It does. A lot. And some are smack-your-laptop-with-brick-to-avoid-data-leak bad

You sound upset at a major chunk of users of a product who probably never even talked to you...
  • 0
    You can't get a desktop with x2 1080 GTX for that price o.o If I could, I would've gotten it ._.
  • 0
    @monkehparade Damn right you can

What makes it even worse is how terrible the ui is. Especially the colour scheme.

And the Dock, oh god how i hated the Dock. A huge waste of space that you were only allowed to hide D:

@nanl That's probably the reason why Macs make me so angry tbh
  • 0
Most mac users on devrantcare okay, as many of the developers are, I'm more annoyed by "those" people
  • 0
Dude, you are a hater ... Just leave the people to buy and use whatever they want ... Yes Mac is overpriced shit but it just works ... When you buy mac or iPhone you pay more for software, not for hardware ... It just works ...

@inaba you should probably take a tour to /r/unixporn

bro, but it has apple logo on it

OP: STOP TELLING ME BUY APPLE!
Also OP: STOP BUYING APPLE! BUY WINDOWS MACHINE!

    @exploreTheC
    I didn't mention windows once.
But since you brought it up, I'd pick Windows anytime over Mac OS.

@TwiN I was being melodramatic and grabbed the other more popular operating system for my point. In the same breath of being mad at Apple fanboys, you’re arguing they do the same, just the opposite side of the coin.
Just let people buy what they want. It doesn’t matter. Don’t let anyone make you feel bad about your purchase because both options are viable.
  • 1
@exploreTheC I don't mind that people buy Apple products; even I agree that the iPhone, despite its hefty price tag, is very user friendly.

    I'm just ranting.

    @TwiN
I get what you're saying, but don't let it bother you too much. Everyone uses what they think is best for them.

The biggest problem I have with Apple is their planned obsolescence. Many of my (Artist, Photographer) friends had compatibility issues with Adobe and other software. Connecting an SD card to a computer with a single USB-C port is also a hassle.

They dread the day their 2013 MacBook dies.

@-vim- Ohhhh I have. I've also been to the desktop threads on /g/

    Good stuff

@ymihaylov hater is a nice word. It tells you everything about one's points, or rather, lack thereof

I have to agree with the OP here, switching to Macintrash was a horrible mistake for me too....
The machines cannot play games for spit, and almost nothing works as described / advertised.
I swear, I have spent almost every waking free hour of my life in chat / on the phone with Apple's so called "Support" agents, for even the most simplistic operations.
The devices are even dangerous to any external hardware connected to them as they tend to corrupt them after popping up endless failure errors, and forcing you to return the devices to get a refund, then buy another, while crossing your fingers (don't hold your breathe though) that the new one will actually work.
All of this on top of the fact that an Apple computer is between 3 to 4 times as expensive as comparable devices running Windows. For all that extra money, one would be forgiven for hoping to get something that at least works, but you would be disappointed!!
