Ive got a suggestion for this app. When one rants, he has to select whether its a rant, joke, achievement, celebration, (or your wife gave a birth to a baby) etc etc and we can filter them on our "Rants" activity.

And when dfox comes up with algo v3 he can preference different rants according to categories.

The only reason why I've posted it here instead of mailing them is to add up ideas from you guys and make it better.

Yes categories would be great. Maybe even an FML category? I feel it would be used as rants and FML wouldn't always overlap.

@dwyd categories are static, tags are dynamic. rant and rnat has the same meaning, but is different. :p

@yusijs fair enough but the devRant app could probably just introduce "special tags" for a similar result. e.g. If a special tag is used, maybe the keyword is highlighted a unique color. The "special tags" list could be an arbitrary list or based off the top 5-10 most used tags depending on if it should be static or dynamic.

I have a feeling many will not use such a feature. I believe the idea of DevRant is to have a place of Devs to well rant!

If you add categories, I feel it would be more of a reddit or forum. Beating the purpose of an single purpose based rant app.
