Does the touch bar uncomfortable while programming or it's fine?

@rookiemaverick Touchbar doesn’t interfere with programming at all from what I can see.

I would suggest using BetterTouchTool to make custom shortcuts, scripts etc.

Some of the better apps (iTerm, Tower, etc) have custom buttons for commands.

JetBrains products being a very strange absence from the above... :/

No esc button

@zokazavevu that’s because I have a custom touch bar made for the particular app I am in. For focus reasons I only have a pomodoro timer and a way to disable flux quickly (for seeing colours in design the way they really are)

I wouldn’t be able to live with that esc button, I would need to remap, but that includes relearning everything

I love that touch bar. I saw it a few days ago in a friend's computer and I was amazed.

Cool, which model do you have, the 2016 or 2017 model and what are the specs?
Sorry for asking so much, these past days I have been contemplating whether I should upgrade from my 2011 model by buying the 2015 model, the 2017 model or just wait for the new 2018 model.

What is your experience? Is the keyboard holding up?

Just curious, ESC button is from software, what if software crashes?
