xewl41717yWon't delete it, I have my reasons.. but I do see both sides. Who knows what happens within a year from now.. at least I know what I'm getting into. (:

mrgadget4767yThe hardest part of leaving Facebook is finding the actual option.
...that and the “cooling off period”. -
VXYZ697yThe problem with deleting your Facebook is that it's essentially like YellowPages for the new age. The problem with Facebook lies more within the people on your Facebook than Facebook as a service. A few years ago I made a new Facebook, and I only added people who enlightened my day and people who I legitimately cared about. I made all my privacy settings "only me" and I uploaded like 3 profile photos and a cover photo and I was done. From that point onward I was only engaging with my real friends and people who were focused on productivity, I didn't waste my time posting about stuff or my opinion, or even commenting on people's posts. I just used Facebook to look people up by name and add new aqquaintences. I honestly don't see a reason for deleting personally, and if you're worried about it collecting your data, block it from seeing your location and don't give it any data to collect in the first place. If you waste too much time on it uninstall the app and only use the desktop, etc.
I finally did delete my more than 7 years old fb account!
It was really not easy. But I made it! :)
