Idk who tosensei and sid keep having fights with, but get the fuck out of here.
I'm tired of seeing your drama (+ new accounts and bitching) in my feed all the time.
Y'all some grown ass bitches, so grow up ffs.3
Do we have people here who have a successful IT company?
If yes, I would like to hear your stories.
How you came up with it?
How was the beginning?
What were the struggles and how did you fix them?
How did you get your first client?
How long did it take you?5
A few months ago I bought an e scooter to get from home to work.
The backstory to this:
My car broke down on the highway, my sister's car broke down on the highway and we didn't have another car apart of my dad's anymore.
Which means I had to look for another car. The cars between 1k-5k € are dogshit and when you want to register the car you have to have an appointment at a government building which happens to be closed when I'm getting out of my 8-5 job.
I had enough and bought an e scooter.
Now back to now:
In the beginning it was cool.
Could get anywhere I wanted to in combination with the Germany ticket. Except for the Netherlands where my beautiful girlfriend is.
There I can legally not use it but that's ok lol.
The German government is hyping e mobility and public transportation up, but for what?
E mobility currently sucks ass with all the shit laws for e.g. e scooters and when you want to transport it in public transport, people give you weird looks, the bus driver wants you to buy a bicycle ticket even if I can fold the e scooter and more. The scanners in the bus of the German buses cannot read my German ticket for some reason and every bus driver in my city knows that and they just look at it and are like "Ok, you're cool. Continue moving", but this old grandma looking ass bitch is like "No, according to the law you need to show it to the scanner and not to me". I fucking know. I've been doing this shit for a year and you know that but it doesn't work. It says to me that I need to show it to you instead of to the scanner bc this machine is fucking dumb and apparently I'm holding the people because I started a discussion with her. This driver ... ugh. The buses in my city come whenever they want as well.
Like sometimes 5 minutes earlier, sometimes up to 30 minutes later.
Inconsistent motherfuckers and I am the one making everyone wait? Suck my donkey kong balls.
German trains... well you know how that goes. It doesn't. It sucks ass.
Every single fucking train line has a problem. Either a previous train has something, or staff is missing, or a technical error or the train driver's ass is itchy and needs scratches from his assistant. There's always something.
When I want to travelled home from my gf I spent not lying 8 fucking hours on the trains on Sunday.
Normally it takes max. 5 hours with a train and 3-4 hours with a car.
I can also go on a rant because of the Dutch train system because it also sucks, BUT they are reliable. They are there when they say they are gonna be there. 99% of the times.
In Germany it is somewhere at 10%.
Now I realized that e scooters are uncomfortable and expensive toys who need maintenance just like a car but nonetheless they are reliable unlike the public transport.
In the winter it will be even worse.
Electrical cars are way expensive and affordable electrical cars you need to keep charging every few baby steps.
I also looked at 125ccm motorcycles which you can drive if you upgrade your existing car driver's license, but ngl that's a scam. Not worth it at all.
And that's why I am looking for a traditional car now. E mobility is not there yet in Germany and public transport is not doable at this moment.15
My cat decided to jump on the PC at 5 AM.
Lesson learned: Never going to put my PC on the desk again.10
!rant, but story
Update: I now work as a 1st lvl support
After 5 to 11 months I'll work in deployment and after that in development.14
If anyone was wondering why I haven't ranted since such a long time...
I got used to the toxic and stressful environment.3
Today I hit 23.521k steps according to Samsung Health and 20.2k steps according to my smart watch.
20k steps is still an achievement in my eyes and I felt like sharing it for no reason11
Oh, boy, prepare for the shit to fly at your face at light speed. Here it comes!
Been working for 6 weeks at this new company now. But at a department that has nothing to do with the job in my contract. Went to the boss and asked how long I have to do this the first week and he said "It will be 4-8 weeks. After this (department A) you'll be placed in department B". I was like "Ok".
6 weeks pass by and there's no sound from him. Went to his office and complained that something slowly needs to happen (changewise). He agreed and I went back to work.
Few hours pass by and my coworker gets a call from him that I will be working at department C from now on with no more information (such as end date) given. My coworker told me that and I asked if he didn't tell my coworker about the end date or any change of plans regarding department B. My coworker didn't know anything.
After the work ended I went to the boss again to ask him why there was this sudden change that he could have told me before in today's meeting or if this sudden change will interfere with our old plan. Instead he passive aggressively told me that he already told me that I will be placed at department B in 2 weeks.
No shit, Sherlock. I already fucking knew that you told me that. I just wanted to know if this sudden change changed our old agreement.
This company is so fucking unorganized. Jesus!4
Remember my first day at my job post from almost 2 weeks ago?
I have to say that I've built great connections in the company even though I'm introverted and am like bro-ey and joke-ey with everyone there.
All the package unboxing, sorting, cutting and moving made me more fit. I'm nonstop moving the whole day from point A to point B to point C etc. I even got a smart watch to accurately track my amount of steps (+25-33% more steps than Samsung Health in my experience). I'm at 11,000 steps everyday on average and I want to push this further.
Remember that Daniel? We've become great coworkers after the initial heat (we kept giving each other orders) and are having a breakfast with the department we are temporarily in.
We also get to leave the company 1 hour earlier because we are done with all of today's work. The department chief and the company chief are impressed.6
First day at my job and once I got home I immediately crashed into my bed and woke up at 3 AM.
For some reason I still feel physically tired. Even though I woke up by myself (no distractions from my environment).
+ I feel like having worked out even though I did not. I can feel the muscles aching everywhere in my body.
Anyway back to how it went...
I got there (company) and met a young people like me who are also working in this company for the first time.
Once I saw them + the chief and the leaders, my anxiety kicked in, but I made sure not to show it.
We took photos and saw the cubes (data center cubes) and it felt like I was in a hacking scene from Mr Robot or Watch Dogs lol. It was so cool.
After that we were assigned to our temporary work places and mine was at a place where you get packages from the delivery trucks, cut them, sort them, put etiquettes on them and register them in the system.
Another boy (let's call him Daniel) and me were assigned to this place. He is going to be a sys admin.
The people at this workplace were very chill, cool and mature.
You can joke with them and they will not get offended (looking at you, Twitter) lol.
Daniel however is the opposite.
He is so god damn extroverted that he literally won't stop talking.
At some point he asked me if I was even listening and I admitted that the unconcious side of the brain of mine built a filter over the years that only let's valuable information flow through. When there is no valuable information, I do not process them in my conciousness.
Poor guy got a bit sad, but me whatever. Not my problem. He gave me an headache by talking nonstop nonsense.
Today, when my shift begins, I will learn to do drive a forklift and I'm excited about this.
I do not even need a license for it which you normally need in other companies :D1

I FUCKING GOT THE JOB!
Just woke up to a call from the HR that they are choosing me and that they would like to send the contract papers to me.
I am going to pick the papers up myself in a few hours instead.
No person at this moment is happier than me right now!
Finally, dude... I have been hunting for months.
This call was totally unexpected since the interview was already 2 months ago and lasted between 5-10 minutes.
This is also my favorite company among all companies I applied to.
I realize that in interviews I can fake confidence to such high levels I thought would never be possible for me.
I keep impressing myself with every interview lol.
The saying "Fake it until you make it" is kinda true. It works for me haha3
Follow up to this rant/story:
I have my final interview this week and I am very excited and the more I think about it I get nervous.
This time one of the senior devs from last time will be present, some dude from the business department and another guy who had no information on the internet about himself.5
Why would a company (A) create another company (B) within itself?
Both companies are literally in the same building.
Company A is manufacturing plastic products and company B is all about company B's IT (sys admin, dev, etc.).9
I AM SO FUCKING HAPPY!
Just had an interview and it went fucking awesome!
At some point we just talked about games like Cyberpunk and Minecraft with the developers.
Can't wait to work there!17
I am realizing that "We will tell you about the results next week" means "YOU should contact us next week to prove your interest" in the HR language.
What else is there that is subtle and hidden during interviews?6
In today's job interview for an apprenticeship for the "Anwendungsentwicklung" position where they specialize in SAP systems (ABAP).
They told me that this position is a new thing in their company and that they want me, once I agree with their contract (which they will send later), to take responsibility for that.
I'm fine with that.
Now comes the part that is bugging me. They also said that the IT manager does not want to be disturbed often, if I have questions.
(I mean I will definitely have some questions. I am an apprentice after all, right? Like why should I join your apprenticeship program, if you refuse to teach me stuff? I can study on my own, as well and not be in your program.)
Just a few times and that's it. They admitted that they do not know much about that position and that I have to learn most things myself. No books and no other resources. They also do not know where the school is going to be yet.
The people in the interview I've spoken to where nice and we made some jokes here and there, but the fact that the company does not want to support me in an apprenticeship is saddening.
I do not know...maybe I'm just too concerned and this is normal day to day stuff for apprentices, but from what I have read about apprenticeships this is not the right thing to do as a company on the internet.
Correct me in the comments, if you think differently.
I will use this company as a last resort.6
This week I had an interview via Zoom and the HR asked me "How would you feel positive/comfortable as an "apprenticeship person"?".
I asked them to repeat the question because it sounded weird and I thought it was maybe just my mind imagining things.
They said the same thing to which I asked why they ask me such a question thinking that this might be a new HR trap.
She (HR) felt that I was suspecting something and explained this is not a trap, but just to improve the company.
I don't think that's the case lol.
If I were to demand material things, it would not be in the company's favor.
+ how the hell am I supposed to know before even having worked with them for let's say a week?
That was strange7
After doing some self reflection today, I realized that I could finish college (I passed every exam), but the amount of time I spent for college (basically the whole day each day) is too much to handle for me.
Note to future me: If you blame yourself for why you didn't continue, it's because of the lack of time, freedom and calmness of your mind. Otherwise you would have went literally insane.
Trust me, your early version is in that phase right now, and I know it better than you do.9
Yesterday I was in an interview and the chief of that company asked me how old I am and where I am from.
After that he said that "This is a multicultural company btw. We welcome everyone".
I wonder what he was thinking while saying that.6
I'm cringing so hard about my posts.
What was I thinking when making them?
I'll let them live to remind myself of the pain.
Hopefully I won't post stuff that I will cringe about in the future anymore😂2
Facebook API is the most cancerous API to ever exist!
Complicated as fuck for no reason.
Don't get me started on WhatsApp API.
In the end I managed to make it work with my bot, but dude did that take a lot of time.
Using Twitter API and Discord API on the other hand was way easier.12
Status update: Almost two months ago I struggled alot with even basic math.
Now I've gotten way better in not just basic stuff, but also college level of math.
That's it. Bye.6
I'm doing the recommended math tasks. Since I can't trust the prof's solutions (he does errors here and there), I watch YouTube videos, Khan Academy videos, compare the results of the prof with the results of online step calculators such as wolfram alpha and find new rules I've never heard of before.
The prof doesn't really comment every step about why he's doing what. He just provides the solution and I have to reverse engineer from his solution up to the original state of the equation. Repeating the same procedure for the online calculator results as well.
I have to say that "Oh, boy, did I learn so many valuable things..." Stuff that I should have learned when I was at least doing my A levels (Abitur).
It is as if I am opening the gates to a new world. Not even exaggerating. Ok, maybe a bit. Ok, maybe a bit more, but no bit more than that.9
Ok, now math is starting to make sense and I'm beginning to enjoy it.
Is this a new level of the love of hurting one self or is this the act of enjoyness? Hmmm...
I noticed that I like to "reverse engineer" the formula we have to remember (I don't like remembering without knowing its benefits and reason of existence and it will most likely be forgotten after graduation when I don't find these two attributes of one formula) and I noticed that I am rather old fashioned and like to do it in a complex way instead of the derived ready formula way.4
We have this one professor in a mathematics course.
He sits there having no plan of what he's doing. He literally opens his python Jupiterbook with latex enabled, writes a complex equation and tries to solve it in 10 minutes. Makes mistakes every few steps and deletes his formatted equation that isn't even interpreted yet (we see the cdot etc. instead of * which makes it even harder to read). Every few minutes some student corrects him and he deletes it again.
Why can't you just think first and then write and try to teach us?
Use as much time as you want as long as you don't have to keep reverting back the humanly unreadable latex equation.
Hell, you are also allowed to use a basic pen and paper. Trust me, that shit is more readable, even if you have a bad handwriting, than your squeezed in complex untranslated latex equation in Jupiterbook.
Btw. he also streams with no zooming in I might add.
Am I supposed to trying to read your small as shit, focus on what you're teaching while you keep making mistakes or write it down on paper and practice the given tasks?
On top of that, he records the zoom conference but he doesn't share it anywhere on the college forum so that people who have missed it can download it and rewatch it.
Everything he does makes no sense. How did he become a mathematics professor with a PhD?5
