I feel dirty. I just talked someone into buying a Macbook Air.

I mean, it's a good fit for them, but I just don't feel good about it.

I actually bought a Mac only because of its Operating system...

There's nothing wrong with Macs. You might not like it, but they will.

I don't like Macs or the OS, but that doesn't mean I hate them.

I love Air because of its hardware and design.

Do you know that something called Hackintosh exists? Just buy a normal notebook that does not cost as much as an electric bike and install OS X on it 😉

PS: I do not support or like Apple or any of their products, in fact I hate Apple so I would recommend a notebook with elementaryOS or something for that person

To be fair, the Librem laptops are too expensive for me, despite the fact that I like what they do. But I could get just as good of a machine for $1000 cheaper... I just wouldn't get the hardware switches included.

That's true. Maybe if the price went down $500 I'd look more closely at the Purism computers, but for right now, it's most certainly not an option.
