I studied ancient languages, because of corruption in my home country, I couldn't find any place in academy although my scores were above 90%. Moved to another country and taught myself web development. Naturally in time I lost almost all my knowledge of Latin, Ancient Greek, the whole ancient literature, history, philosophy and culture (everything from historical evolution of tremmas in letter i in ancient Greek to honey fish recipe in ancient Rome cousine). I'm super happy with Webdev tho but I think that also counts as data loss.

@rEaL-jAsE when I have a problem about regex, I just go to stack overflow then post there my regex question. Then aliens there will post the answer. Kapow! Regex problem solved without toasting my brain lol 😂

@Devnergy I use regex sites, they're quite helpful. But yes, regex does need to die, and die quickly.

    Whoah whoah whoah!
    Hold your guns!
Regexes are such neat handy things. I can't imagine them dying ever. What would you do without them?
There's a learning curve but once you get it, life becomes so much simpler.

@dr-ant I think my reaction's because of how hard I find it TBH xD

@DucksCanCode haha yeah. I've been there. But slowly I'm getting comfortable with them. There's this regex crossword thing that I've started doing (esp. during the dull meetings) that has helped me like regex more.
