When you accidentally click the wrong download link

I've spend the last 4 hours trying to get this shit out of my system

Clicking the download button alone does nothing

@Floydian was downloading AMT Painter, clicked the wrong button, Downloaded a file with the same name. Stupid me forgot to run it in sandbox first and before you know you've got about 15 Trojans and 25 adware programs. Seems like some rigourous scanning with malwarebytes got rid of most

Your system's been compromised. Reinstall is the only option to be sure it's out of your system.

@k0pernikus Hmm, was thinking about doing that. Seems like most of it is gone by now though. Just going to keep an eye open for anything suspicious in the following week and keep running regular scans. It's about 400gb of data I'd need to back up and restore from an old and slow hdd
