Has there been any luck in implement the “blocking” feature devRant?

Is the ability to block specific users from commenting on your posts still in the development pipeline?

I like not being able to take the easy way out of argument. If the user talks shit, just report him.

@PrivateGER I can understand that sentiment.

However, my problem isn’t about getting out of an argument. I always enjoy an intelligent discussion, especially in a place like this with mostly intelligent minded adults.

But I am finding some users who I can confirm are neither intelligent minded nor adults.

At the very best they are children with an argumentative mindset. At worst they are a child trying to be a troll.

I’m going to try not be too mean here but I want to make this clear...

I do not have time, and will not make time, to argue with children in real life and I sure don’t want to do it on the internet.

I have seen these same users starting childish arguments all over the site.

Personally, when one of these users comments (which they are lurking to comment first usually) I just delete the post because I don’t have time for childish bullshit in my day.

Intelligent debate is good for the site. Childish trolls are a fucking waste of sperm and a waste of my time.

@leanrob Tag dfox or trogus in such a case and the user will get warned/banned.
    They are very nice people.

I'm much more cynical than @dfox and have pushed to prioritize blocking as I see one or two cases and think bad actors are rampant or about to take over, but he points out it really isn't that common (yet). I believe he already started working on a basic block feature, though not sure what its current status is.
