And for the answer, i prefer the options 2 i.e, spend time with your family: 2 years is a long time, Google keeps changing its policies very frequently.one simply can't be sure to get a guaranteed permanent job at Googs or if Google will surely maintain its words regarding their policy -

You have 2 years to live. You have a spouse and kid. Google offers half your salary to your spouse for 10 years and survivor’s benefits for your kid until they’re 23 (correct if I’m wrong) if you die while being employed by them.
Would you spend those 2 years practicing algorithms and your CS knowledge to get into Google? Or spend the precious little time you have left with your family?
