Hi guys, I'm hoping you can help. I've looked everywhere and I've not got a clue what it is.

I lost my back door key (5-pin pin and tumbler lock) the other day, and I can't afford to get a new one right now.

I tried picking it earlier, and I discovered it's got a spring at the back of the plug (which I've never come across). I lined up all the pins but for some reason it's not opening, and I have a feeling it's either got an anti-pick pin or it's to do with that spring.

Has anyone with lock experience got a clue what could be doing this? I'm at a loss.

    Lemme see a picture. That back spring is usually there to protect the lock if you put in 2 keys at once.

    @fuck2code yeah it's a cylinder with a thumbturn on the inside.

    And it's my back door, I definitely have permission

    @sharktits I'd have thought that but it's a thumbturn on the inside so it only has one keyhole

    Thaaaats weird, but i never broke one sided locks, cant be that different from regular ones. If you got a dc motor, you can make an autolockpick

    @sharktits you're a proper techie, I love that xD. Maybe, I used to have a lock gun that could've done it but it fell apart (it was only cheap)
