C0D4669027yOnce you adjust to the not so filtered results, for dev it’s handy for returning SO answers in the search, dark theme if that’s your thing, although some results don’t equate correctly so you may find the need for a google search from time to time
Search bangs for quick search on some useful sites, the alleged privacy lack of tracking (I haven’t seen anything to actually confirm this yet) -

As @Root stated basically, you might not always find what you actually want with ddg.
I personally go with both. Ddg as main and when I see the results don't fit my needs (especially when being quite fuzzy with the search query), I go with Google.
Ddg vs google is, when it comes to results, like comparing searching porn in english vs every other language. Of course there are results in said other language. But sometimes they aren't cutting it.^^ -
To answer the question from an UX perspective: ddg is godlike when searching dev-stuff.
