I grew up in an Indian family, but in a western country. I'm really glad they didn't push arranged marriages for me or my sibling.

I know so many Indian people who say they work and are happy, but when you really get to know them, there are so many husbands and wives that are just miserable.

It really feels mechanical and is a part of my culture I'm glad I haven't adopted.
