When an engineer has to handle a flower

My mom insisted on me having 2 of her plants in my room "because it looks nice"... I would always forget to water the plants... heck even a cactus that I once bought withered in my room... as a developer I of course tried to come up with a way to monitor the soil moisture level and at least light up a red LED if it's too dry. Needless to say, the plant withered while I was trying to make a working soil moisture sensor... 😅

and my mom did not appreciate seeing the various wires, nails and PCBs that I stuck inside the pot
