I was told about a programming teacher yesterday that didn't know the difference between bits and bytes.
And if i think back to when i learned programming at school, my teacher was kinda unknowing too. He was a nice guy and was able to teach the basics, but everything beyond was neuland to him. -
@Hu-bot0x58 ok clarification: English is not my mother tongue, and I'm not speaking English with my teacher.
So i'm translating as good as i can but not word accurately.
The only "question" (was a rhetorical one) he asked was the c# one. -
Lol 😂😂😂😂😂 great teacher 👏🏻👏🏻
I do understand that things like this can happen, and it is kinda sad and laughable, but I wud also say that if s/he is willing to understand, not a problem then 😁😁 -
@Brosyl i wish this would count for my teacher too. He've never been outside of a school

@Condor my school has a constant teacher shortage (though far from being short on money). So we got a totally unqualified teacher more than once. Worst example was an English teacher who couldn't speak English. (She was a gardening and politics teacher actually so i'm not mad. It's just so sad.)

@Condor it absolutely is. But i only got a few days left there. My next school will be much better staffed

It's time for another teacher story. So grab a cup of tea and listen.
We were casually talking about Arduino programming because he told me he teaches this in another class.
Teacher: it's so sad that i can't use my java code on the Arduino. I mean the Arduino uses java so there shouldn't be a problem.
Me: *internal* HOLD THE FUCK ON
Me: you know that the Arduino uses c and not java, do you?
Teacher: but the Arduino can do java commands! How do you explain this!?
Me: because java uses the c-syntax and it's more of a coincidence that they're named the same way?
Teacher: huh. Ok. But C# doesn't use it, am i right?
How can someone this dumb be a programming teacher 🤦
