I don't see why I will leanr anything else, maybe python. but go, ruby, c++ or whatever. I won't learn it

When can you actually say you KNOW a programming language?

I've coded stuff in a bunch of languages, but I don't know their native libraries backwards like I do JavaScript with all the little nuances and weird things.

				Visual Basic
 SQL (can I count this?)
 Perl
 JavaScript
 VB.Net (padding my list, lol)
 PHP

C++ is my favorite language. Although verbose, and sometimes hard to use, it's so powerful and extremely rewarding when used properly (modern C++).

I really like Python too, it's really great for prototyping machine learning algorithms and algorithms in general. It becomes a pain when used in large a large codebase, though. The lack of typing makes every line of code ambiguous and difficult to understand. If Python had some (optional) typing, it would definitely be at the top of my list.

Facebook209y@spl0 I don't mind that. As long as I can avoid as much ambiguity as possible, I'm happy. Also, with STL algorithms, it's becoming increasingly easier to write good C++.
