@chatgpt What does "speaking out of fear" mean? How can I tell if someone is doing it? Am I doing it now?

Speaking out of fear refers to expressing oneself in a way that is motivated by fear or anxiety about potential consequences. It often involves avoiding confrontation, playing it safe, or withholding one's true thoughts and feelings in order to protect oneself from perceived threats.
You can tell if someone is speaking out of fear by observing their body language, tone of voice, and the content of their speech. They may appear defensive, hesitant, or apologetic, and their words may be overly cautious or guarded.
As for whether you are currently speaking out of fear, it can be helpful to reflect on your own feelings and intentions. Are you holding back your true thoughts and feelings out of fear of judgment or criticism? Are you avoiding difficult conversations or taking risks because of anxiety about potential outcomes? If so, these may be signs that you are speaking out of fear. It's important to acknowledge and address these fears in order to communicate more authentica -
people even accuse the other political side or say stuff like "why don't Gen z care about Palestine" on social media out of fear...
encountered a clip of this chick saying that. she's not genuinely confused... she's afraid that people aren't joining her. it's sad. I can't even tell why she would be afraid. I think someone told her something bad. she doesn't genuinely wonder. she feels alone unless people join her in her political cause. she thinks she will be alone. so she's literally in distress... and it's causing people to make fun of her because her concerns are so out of touch
I don't know if anyone says anything genuine out of fear. they just want their fears calmed. they don't want knowledge, they won't want to explore, and they won't grow in any novel direction either... it's just a dead end of "my way or the highway", "do what I'm implying or I will scream", etc
