I have 2 laptops. I use 1 for coding and 1 for gaming.

For some reason, the coding laptop keeps giving BSOD once in a while, but the other one never gave BSOD.

Believe me, I've had it longer (the gaming one), don't shut it down or restart often and they both run the exact same windows build versions! 🙄🙄

Could be a hardware issue. Any information given?

Usually BSOD is a hardware error, could be anything from failing RAM, to HDD to video card. Find the logs/dump from the bsod and search any errors it gives you.

@sylar182 whenever it fails it always does with a system thread exception whenever I wake up my laptop from sleep.

@creativeJuice that sounds less than encouraging. Disclaimer here that I haven't done hardware in a while, and I'm by no means an expert and have not fully searched this to confirm. BUT, iirc this is related to the motherboard, or possibly the HDD not waking correctly.

I would suggest you do some extra searches online with the error and what causes it to make sure I'm not full of shit though.
