LLAMS37486yI think that was around before the aquisition. Search google images for github open in visual studio
-
I believe so. I remember seeing this few years ago when code was committed using Visual Studio IDE.
-
Maybe I’m going crazy but I’m sure I’ve seen that option before.
But now I’m questioning myself and I’ve forgotten where I live... -
Yes that has been there for about one year ( I know since I use it frequently )
Maybe it only shows when there is a visual studio project file in the project root... this may explain why you haven't seen it.... -
@-ANGRY-CLIENT- @linuxxx I mean this particular feature has been there for months so technically it began months ago.
-
I looked for it, then it occurred to me I’m now running Linux and the repository I was looking at was a RoR app.
-
yogeshk2526yIt was way before. This option is available only if you are signed in to GitHub account.
-
@dontbeevil I think both should get the job done.
I mean it's so convenient just typing in one command from the commandline, but if you are just browsing it's also very helpful to have a button. -
It WAS there before, I assure you. I think it appears if there are VS files in the repo or something.
But it definetly was there. -
Yes it was. I've used Github amd Visual Studio for at least 3 years and I can assure you that it was there.
-
mata486yI can confirm that it was there before, I believe the repo needs to be committed from the Visual Studio IDE and you need to have VSCode installed
-
@dthree If you think that that's actually a trick: install VS, add the GitHub extension, log in
Tada, the option will show up -
CristCD2976yIt's been there for a long time. You just need visual studio installed (the full IDE) and I don't know if having Github synced with it is necessary.
Wait, was it there before?
