mwh-196yI use dmenu as my app launcher. Its completely driven by keyboard inputs which makes it a great fit. When it comes to colors i mostly keep it as is with same color for border and background to give it a more "flat" look.

Jilano273046yI would suggest Nord for the colours scheme (https://github.com/arcticicestudio/...) and you could give a go to Rofi for the app launcher (https://github.com/DaveDavenport/...).
As for programs, anything terminal based will be nice: Calcurse, Mutt, Discord with this (https://github.com/MitchWeaver/...), etc. And if you want to go keyboard all the way, try QuteBrowser! -
