@RantSomeWhere They take search results from other search engines, not a secret haha
-
@RantSomeWhere does yandex know that it was you who searched for it or does ddg act as a Proxy?
-
@RantSomeWhere Tbh I'm quite sceptical about the Russian stuff. And that's my countries politics fault :/
-
@RantSomeWhere It's like, often without any proof they try to pin everything possible on Russia. It's literally getting old/annoying.
The ddos attacks on tweakers.net proved this exact point a while ago.
I believe what you're saying by the way! -
@RantSomeWhere Replace the following words and you get an officially true comment:
"Yandex" => "Google"
"Russia" => "USA"
I don't know if or what Yandex shares with the Russian government or other companies, but it's a fact the Google shares user data with the NSA. I hope you're at least as concerned about this fact as about your claim about Yandex 😉 -
@RantSomeWhere ya. That's why, if you want your site to show up on ddg, you have to get Yandex to index it.

@RantSomeWhere Well we had this case were a few banking sites + tweakers got attacked for days and the politicians started pointing towards Russia without any proof.
Everyone went along and when they caught the culprit (teenage guy from a small Dutch village) they asked why he did it: well, they'll probs point to Russia anyways and I found that funny and tried to prove that point.
He proved that point well :/
