Our CTO has been told, this morning by management, that our development department is "too quiet" and that it's spoiling "the atmosphere" of the office space.

So we've ordered mechanical keyboards.

Be careful what you wish for, our team had been deemed the loudest in the office due to our constant chatting, noises, singing, and music that plays from our team. You should do that.

RIP to the sanity of everyone not wearing noise cancelling headphones.

Nothing worse than having the sales team and developers in the same space like dogs and cats! Sales team high fiving to dance music and talking absolute bullshit, and the devs sat there thinking what a bunch of dicks we work on logic not make belief. But you soon learn they are a necessary evil that make most of the money for the company!!!

Is make sure your whole team has noise canceling headphones then record your next code review or whatever then get a ghetto blaster and play it on loop. Problem solved.

@Gauthier Couldn't tell you, sadly, I work in a home office most of the time.

I just love hearing the sound of my typing for some reason, when I'm typing on my friend's laptop he has to tell me not to hit the keys so hard 😛

Mechanical keyboards just sound so beautiful. also it improves productivity it's the bomb!
