Does anyone else find Stack Exchange exhausting?

I start off feeling shit that I don't know how to solve my problem.... Then after asking on Stack, I end up feeling shit that I can't even ask a valid question!

Seriously, 80% of the effort is spent by everyone telling me it's a shit question, or off topic, or somehow wasn't asked in the correct way!

    Post the link to it!

I've never asked a question there, and I don't intend to do so. Instead, I research and google until I have found a way, and then I stumble towards the solution. It may take days, but better that than asking at SO. Half of the shit that counts as answers there doesn't work anyway.

For once, try to understand that they're all right (what are the odds, right) and you're wrong. Try to compose a question properly, as they request.

    Why? you ask?

Because by doing the effort, you will likely find the answer yourself, rather than asking someone, who doesn't even have a way to reproduce your problem, to telepathically tell you what's wrong.

    1) Link or it didn't happen.
    2) They're right. Stack exchange is not for noob questions.
    3) Quit complaining, they're doin it for free.

    All points accepted.

Perhaps I've used So for the wrong things.

On a related note... Any recommendations for general programming discussion / questions (ideally ones that are receptive / friendly). I've tried a question on Dev Rant but no answers (I suspect we may be a little small thus far).
