Recently started computer science course at college. Linux user since 3 years.
Started to learn MS-DOS yesterday.

Teacher: To create a file use 'copy con <filename>'

Me (thinking): WTF, DOS doesn't have a seperate create command like 'touch'

Well touch wasn't originally meant to create files

It's meant to change the timestamp of files(when the file was made). And by default it creates an empty file, if it cant find any.

That makes it a really great tool for file creation :-D

But why are you learing DOS?
