@confusedGuy-sh C doesnt do it due to how it's made in terms of low-level. Python is typesafe. Java, Kotlin, and lots more however aren't as safe and happily make "1"+3 equal to "13"

I really don't get all of those jokes. It's not magic, just some logical thinking. Instead of whining about how weird JS is, just read the docs, they explain a lot. And like @Proximyst said, it's not a unique behaviour
