One of the top reasons why I hate windows is because updates are taking soooo much time. I mean when I install a greater update on Linux e.g. Linux mint 18.2 to 18.3 it takes 1 reboot and about ten minutes of installing... When I install any windows update I have a 50% chance that Microsoft decides that it is a update which requires a restart which means in reality that my pc restarts about 3 times and takes at least 30 minutes for updating. WTF

Just last night, I decided to install Linux on my secondary (now primary) disk. At that same time, Windows said "hey, we have updates to install!" After waiting for those (took quite a while for me too), I shut it down, popped in Artix, and had fun.

Today I had to go back to M$World to grab some data, and they finished updating as part of the boot process... THEN hung at the login screen for several minutes while it sounded like they were grinding my HDD to bits. Not even the soft shutdown button would save me. I reset my way out of there and got back to GNUland as fast as I could (not before recovering a suspiciously malformed kernel image...)
