Simple. Devrant accepts non printable Unicode characters. Not a bug, just supporting Unicode. It's like if you try making a rant with the RTL character. It shouldn't be removed because some languages require it so their language renders properly for us.

Or any 0 width characters. Yes. They are invisible. That's because they have a fucking width of 0! Doesn't mean it's a bug.

Also, aside from "haha look at this, give me upvotes" (we have all done that at some point) none of us care about the fact that you can post empty rants / comments and sometimes it's actually useful for a joke.

Oh. If you want to report a bug, do it on the issue tracker. Reporting here doesn't get you anywhere except a link to the tracker from some person that cares to find it for you.

@ewpratten take a breather, you're implying ill intent, he's a new account, he might as well not know about the previous attempts at showing that bug off, also it is in the issue tracker already, even if his reply was a bit sketchy, that doesn't warrant stomping somebody down to just being upvote greedy.
