There's nothing wrong about defending ones parents!
xD
PS:
What a sick basterd. -
@electrineer 100% sure that aint the case here.
Sidenote; he was talking about how it was a fettish and it would be like roleplay, he was on a call so I do not know who he was talking to but that is just wierd right? -
@Floydian I dont see it as a problem, but I just kind of find it to be a wierd thing to halfway scream into your phone about 😂
-
sSam14836y@Floydian she didn't know it was considered weird not that she didn't know about the cousin thing at all.
-
endor56666y@Alice actually, lots of issues can arise even in the first generation - multiple generations of inbreeding just make it exponentially worse.
There are many genetic diseases that have a recessive trait, and the odds that the child gets the wrong gene from his parents can be significant (25% of getting a terrible genetic disease is not a good number imho, and you have to compound the odds for each possible disease the parents are carrying healthily) -
endor56666yI guess, if you think about it, many fundamental laws of our society stem directly from the self-preservation instinct of a species.
Murder, homosexuality, and inbreeding, for example, are not "bad" because someone said so - they're bad because they go directly against the species' natural urge to reproduce (healthily, ie without genetic diseases) and preserve their numbers, combined with the fact that growing a new individual is a very resource- and time-intensive long-term investment.
Without this instinct, the odds of us going extinct long ago would have been much higher.
So naturally, when someone goes against these 'rules', he is going against the group's collective interest -
axsatcisi366y@Alice I think what he's saying is it's bad in the sense that it's against the natural urge to reproduce. Not eeew bad. :)
-
endor56666y@Alice oops, I phrased it wrong - I meant to say that they have historically been considered bad (murder still is ofc) because they go against the preservation of the species. Nothing wrong with homosexuality (or incest, for that matter)
-
@daemonAD I was in the netherlands and the guy was speaking in english, so i dont think so
-
Kulijana4206y@Alice
Similar to your difference(comparing you to other cultures above mentioned) in viewing relationships between cousins as a bad thing, some cultures look upon homosexuality as a bad thing. Its a bit unfair to instantly jump on the guys throat -
Kulijana4206y@Alice
Well, one can have a stance on homosexuality such that he/she isnt supportive of it. Its mostly a cultural thing i guess, but I think we should respect those stances as well. Im personally indiferent on the question of homosexuality, but generally am for freedom of choice. If you think about it, the freedom of choice is the only valid argument for homosexuality(non the less, a very strong one).
I guess I went too wide with my comments. What I wanted to point out is how its interesting how aggresive you were agains an idea friendly and farmiliar to you, and on the other side you are literally defending lightweight incest and people are having a reasonable discussion with you. -
Kulijana4206y@Alice
Dont take the previous comment as an attack on you, im just too tired to find a better way to express myself in english at the end there. I hope i got the point thru, freedom of ideas -
Well it’s always good to find a hobby that you can enjoy with the rest of your family......
I have no inclination to indulge in incest with any of my family members, regardless of how distantly removes they are.
But if people want to shag their sister (or whatever) and it is consensual and they’re not hurting anyone then people are free to do what they want as far as I’m concerned.
The taboo surrounding it probably stems from hundreds/thousands of years ago where the pool of available mat s was much smaller, and it was recognised that inbreeding weakens the blood line.
Of course, European royal families are all related and there are a number of genetic disorders caused by their inbreeding, such as the Hapsburg ja and haemophilia. -
Today I learned that to spark a conversation arround here instead of talking about a hated programming language you just write some story about random people you find at the train station
I kid you not I was standing waiting for the train and there was a guy behind me defending incest...
