Got fired for the first time today, strange feeling.

What are some bulletproof linux distros, I'm tired of semi-stable distros that need more attention than the work that I'm trying to do on them.

I feel like js is bullying me...

First day at my first not-an-internship job, and I have to leave the place due to the medical appointment 2 hours into the day. Great first impressions I'm leaving 😂

I just noticed that I can't select text from rants or comments on my android phone. I wanted to quote a part of the rant. Is this intentional?

Finding new songs while working, and then focusing on the lyrics too much, and losing concentration for coding.

I once asked our graphics designer to send me a 1x1 transendent pixel as an image. She was just filling that role at the time, not being an actual graphics designer, and the request was rather unusual. It took us a couple of attempts to get what I wanted. I like to optimize memory for the apps, maybe a bit too much.

Lets hope there are comanies willing to give half worktime paid internships/jobs for the summer. The vacations might end up being a bit costly. I could go for full worktime, but summer is a time to enjoy, while I still can.

To all the people who use laptops for coding, what are the most important things to look out for when getting one. As a desktop user, all of these machines seem underpowered and overpriced.
Im mostly aware what I need to get regarding hardware inside, but when it comes to displays/keyboards/mousepads(does anyone even use that?)/size/io, I am preety clueless.

I knew that not being good with binary would get me one day. This is not really what I had in mind.

Unpopular opinion: I actually tend to not use adblock as much recently, and think its reasonable to have non aggressive ads on websites, and support content creators. Also, people here that show zero tolerance policy towards any advertisement are really interesting to me to say the least.

Getting into the third hour of trying to run an android studio emulator on ryzen.

Significant progress is made though, now instead of not working and giving 9 errors, its still not working, but at least there are no more errors being reported...
