Fucking hell, Microsoft Store is the most useless abomination that MS has ever produced and instead of killing it, like they do with their other failed products, they somehow, for some reason, still keep this lobotomized pile of crap alive.

MS is creeping ever so slowly to a walled garden. The problem with this is if they ever throw the walls up then Windows will cease to be the dominant gaming platform. It seems like Steam is positioning itself with Linux if that ever happens. They see the writing on the wall.

@Demolishun they certainly try to be a walled garden, like Apple is. Because it‘s the holy grail of making a shit ton of money.
But they failed at it in at roughly the time of Windows 8.
And they are beating that dead horse since.

Yeah... I've had problems w/ sandboxes for this one.

Also, the idea of downloading software via this channel is abhorrent to me.

That said, I have purchased 'Paint.NET' from the MS Store just to support the developer.

I've been playing w/ my Steam Deck for 1-2 months, now.

The hardware is quite impressive && yeah - it runs on SteamOS which is Arch-based, but I'm fairly certain you'd known about it already.
