@dontbeevil perhaps yes.. or maybe some of my changes in telemetry settings with ShutUp10 broke the Store, just like how changing it broke Windows Update in Insiders early as well.. data mining hooks everywhere :/

@dontbeevil I used to be in the Fast ring for the Windows Explorer dark theme.. but since it got so unstable and I wasn't comfortable with the extensive data collection, I reinstalled and got back on the stable branch. Also it turns out that the telemetry changes from ShutUp10 were indeed the cause. Just disabled most of its settings, rebooted and magically the Windows Store works again as normal.. awesome :')

Edit: also apparently the data collection level got automatically set to Full again.. just what in the world is Microsoft doing to this thing?!

@Condor Can you tell me more about this? I would like to turn off those too

@CozyPlanes All I can say so far is that ShutUp10 works but that it doesn't stop everything - an hour or so of inactive time with Wireshark running still revealed quite a bit of TLS traffic to Microsoft servers.. much less than without ShutUp10's changes though. Also some stuff that's being sent to Akamai but that's probably something else. What I've also found is that Windows' telemetry hooks sit very deep within the system.. many applications apparently rely quite heavily on it.. such as our lovely Microsoft Store here.
