I once left this one shop and the guy who replaced me stole a bunch of laptops and pawned them. He had substance abuse problems. I got a call from my old boss, saying "Adam hasn't shown up in two weeks and I'm not sure he's coming back.." and then he tried to offer me my job with a sizable increase. It still wasn't close to what I was making at the new shop.

Adam was a fucking rock star!
