My lead developer has a tendency of saying "that movie fucking sucks" every time I mention a movie.

From Saturday to Sunday, I have seen ready player one a total of 6 times. If tomorrow I mention it and he says that it sucked I am gonna go ahead and Texas bitch slap him across the face with the power of Spielberg.

There is only so much trolling I can take my dudes. And I really fucking enjoyed the movie.

If you haven't seen it then please go ahead!!!

Is he from Texas as well or an import lol

@Stuxnet funny enough he is from Chicago Illinois!! So an import. Which is why I need to show him a Texas smash!!

@AleCx04 Most imports should probably just stay home lmao. Or adapt to their environment a bit better.

(Reference to my comment on your rant about Bollywood movies) I don't go into a restaurant and brag about how much better another restaurant is compared to the one I'm at. Where you live is the same damn way. (Speaking of that rant, this isn't the same guy, right?)

I don't plan on living anywhere other than NC. And if I do, I don't foresee myself moving any farther north than Virginia. Gotta stay somewhere that you'll fit in and not stick out like a sore thumb.

Will you come back later after you mention the movie to him? I'm really curious how this turns out..

@rutee07 he is one of those guys that if a movie is not perfect in every sense it "fucking sucks" Normally I hate people like this, but he is pretty cool in other things for the most part.

@Stuxnet oh no this is not the same dude. My issue with this dude tho is that if a movie is not perfect in everything it then gets branded to "it fucking sucks" which is pretty annoying. He can be describing a movie and then "yeah but they forgot to add this part so it fucking sucks" and I sometimes can't tell if he is joking or not. He is critical like this on damn near everything. Books, comicbooks, games, movies, music.

@sndrx I will most definitely come back and tell y'all whats up.

More than likely: lead developer gets slapped hard or gets something thrown at him.
  • 2
Seriously you needed to watch it six times to understand it ???
  • 2
@AleCx04 Ahh he's one of those guys. It's either perfect or trash, and 99% of movies are trash.

Meanwhile there's me: I've yet to see a movie I disliked. Some have disappointed, but they're usually still decent.

@rookiemaverick Yes. You'll miss minor but revolutionary details.

@rookiemaverick where the fuck did I say that I watched it 6 times to understand it? I watched it 6 times because I liked it that much.

@Stuxnet yup, he is one of those. Me? I am very chill when it comes to movies. If I like them I am perfectly content with them. I am not very critical of movies at all. Music yes, movies eh, as long as they entertain me. I can admit when a movie is just bad(e.g The Room was just bad) but even then I find ways of being entertained by them.

@AleCx04 Logan Lucky disappointed me. It was portrayed as a comedy in the trailers, but it had minimal comedy in it.

But I'm basically the same way. A few seconds of a song is enough to make me no longer listen to it. Meanwhile, half a movie could be trash but I'd still love the movie. The Patriot was a good movie, but some of the scenes were too long and seemed unnecessary to me. But ya know the last battle scene makes the entire movie a 5 star to me lol

@AleCx04 it was a sarcastic comment. I too watch movies multiple times because I liked them. But not during the weekend though ;)

    Awesome movie. That Shining scene.

    @Bitwise 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ Some states aren't for everyone.

I'm willing to go out on a limb and say it's likely completely different than where you're from, so the culture shock (and the brutal heat) can make it a bitch of a state, just like anything south of Virginia.

Except Florida. The only thing southern about it is it's location lol

I wish I could enjoy the movie as everyone seems to, but I read the book years before the movie and all I thought was that the director didn’t even bother reading more than the first chapter. I am not disregarding the movie as a whole but I was strongly disappointed to not even see one good part from the book. The key and portal search was too drastically put down :(

The book was awesome, I need to watch the movie.
