BigBoo23126yI would kill all hypothetical questions like these because they are even more boring than when people try to explain what happened to them in their dreams.
-
@BigBoo I am just curious, since everyone has their preferences, but I get what you mean.
-
I would do away with python cuz the damn hipsters thinking they are more than just script kitties.
I would also do away with java also
I would keep C and probably keep C++ but figure out a better paradigm than OOP.
Really all you need is C let’s be honest here -
I would kill off anything that results in the dissemination of information related to software management and process trends. No amount of collateral damage to civilization would be too large.
-
@oudalally machine learning and C is no problem. Just use the FANN library, and you're good to run NN even on Cortex-M microcontrollers.

Fossil fuels. Because if I have to choose between flash and still having trees and bearable outside temperatures or having to live on a desert planet without Flash (and any outside life), Adobe's POS clearly wins.
At least I can switch flash off and be done with it. -
Kill JS.
Make Java great again.
(I hate that everybody uses JS and python for everything... ok i might have a bad mood today ...)
Java is inferior to C# at the moment because c# has better integration with windows. If only java had the same funcionality i would pick it over monopolized c# (Thats my f*cking opinion, so pls dont hate) -
geaz2896y@Gregozor2121 I would kill JS too. But not because of the language itself. JS just does not deserve the hate. I hate the whole fucking ecosystem and the perverting of this small great script language. JS works for what it was intended. But the whole "web devs" perverted it into something it never was or wanted to be! I think webassembly is a good move to get rid of this hell of an ecosystem which was significantly shaped by npm.
And even if java would get a better integration. C#s language design is far better imho. -
@oudalally the issue with OOP is you waste more time in this paradigm dilemma ensureing your code conforms to the proper uses of the methodology rather than writing functional code. The important portions of the code is lost because you had to write 100 lines of bullshit setup code

@ilPinguino uh... economics kinda disagrees with you, buddy. A lot of places run on coal power, not to mention transport systems.
Though if you do it slowly while gradually replacing it with viable alternatives (which is not so easy) and research energy tech, then yeah. Which is already happening.

You have the power to kill a technology/language for the eternity, and make one more powerful and evident, which ones would you choose and why?
