My laptop battery finally died, it’s been 4 years. Damn gotta spend some money to get a replacement one. Did you guys think we could get a genuine replacement from the vendor? It’s ASUS brand

    most vendors have a spare parts section, they probably will sell direct to consumer.

    @C0D4 I tried searching around at ASUS website but can't seems to find one, they only provide information on how to keep your battery to have longer life

    Well I bought a fresh battery to my Dell laptop from Green Cell. Very good quality for the price.

    Also do we still need to charge it for 8 hours the first time? The seller told me to do so

    @devTea no; it’s a replacement. There was a problem with my laptop that there are no more genuine batteries on the market.
    And no, you don’t have to charge it for 8 hours. That’s fucking stupid

    @devTea well, it’s a Latitude E6320 running Ubuntu Budgie (because Windows works like it wants to but can’t). Still really happy with it

    No bettery on it’s list, but I think I could use it for other spareparts next time

    Try also Aliexpress.

    My father bought a new battery for an old laptop, very old so that it's default OS was XP.

    Got a new one for 12€ and it's quite good...

    Says 4A, has at least 3A

    @theKarlisK since I’m using my laptop for work everyday, does that mean it’s better to take the battery out and use it while plugged then?

    @theKarlisK I got a spare battery now that is dead, I could use it to cover tha holes too. Thanks for the tips
